‘Mad Men’ meets Modern Capital. Our do-it-yourself interior design helped my wife and me garner second place in the Washington Post’s ‘Mad Men’ look contest that is running in the Saturday Real Estate section. (Jen Sergent broke the news here Friday morning. Also, check out her piece on the influence growing up in Hollin Hills had on ‘Mad Men’ set designer Dan Bishop.)
We found the Eames table and chairs at Modern Capital sponsor Home Anthology, which just was named in Baltimore Magazine’s Best of Baltimore issue. (Go check out their current anniversary sale.) Hats off to the winners, Christoper Naughton and Melissa Talley. I remember touring their mid-century modern when it was on the market a few years ago; I found it soon after we closed on our house. I’m glad true aficionados bought the house and have outfitted it so well.
Our next project is going to focus on a restoration of the kitchen, which has been damaged by bad updating. I can barely go in there it is so bad. Stay tuned for that fun.
